I'm Damien — an Engineering Manager, security professional, and technologist who has spent over two decades at the intersection of people, product, and platform. My career has taken me from wiring embedded systems in remote Australian mines to leading engineering teams across multiple enterprise SaaS products on a global stage.
At Ideagen, I oversee engineering across five products and mobile. But the real work is helping talented engineers become their best selves. That's what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Overseeing engineering across five products and mobile at Ideagen. The role is centred on helping people be the best version of themselves — building high-trust, high-performance teams that deliver world-class software.
Responsible for developing and maintaining Ideagen products — Tiks, Safety, SOLO, eify, and Asset Management — across both web and mobile, including new feature development and operational support.
Joined as Head of Development following eify's acquisition. Led an aggressive cloud modernisation program — moving all infrastructure to cloud within three months. Rebuilt the entire application, executed multiple product acquisitions forming the Enterprise Protection Platform, guided the company through ASX listing, and continued scaling operations globally after Ideagen's acquisition of Damstra.
Promoted to CTO after joining as Development Manager. Led a zero-downtime cloud migration and modernisation of the platform, growing eify across the construction vertical before a successful acquisition by Damstra Technology.
Led the development team through the initial cloud modernisation program, establishing engineering process and culture before being elevated to CTO.
Built outstanding software at a team known for technical depth and collaborative culture. Daily focus on upholding the three pillars of information security — confidentiality, integrity, and availability — for customers who depended on the platform.
Travelled across Australia installing custom automated weighing systems for some of the country's largest raw materials companies. A formative role that built deep technical foundations across embedded systems, electrical engineering, and real-world constraints in demanding environments.
